Are you your own worst enemy?
Have you ever said or done something that you know would not be good for you? (Raises hand). Ugh, yep I have been there and it has been humbling. Admitting to mistakes is the first step to becoming your own BFF. Sometimes, we will stay committed to that mistake because we are so damn stubborn. Who ultimately pays the price? You.
If you think you’ve learned it all - think again. It’s time to break out of the limited thinking. Stop staying stuck in your old ways. Expand your mind and open it to the realm of different possibilities. It will not only strengthen your mind but help you gain a well rounded perspective so you are able to relate to anyone you come in contact with.
When we think we know it all, we are doing ourselves a huge disservice. For those of us who have kids or are around kids a lot, they have the most to teach us. My kids have been some of my greatest teachers.
Another great teacher is your triggers. You can say something to someone and they hear something completely different. This is not to be a battle of who is right. This is an opportunity for you to hear the other person’s point of view. I would highly suggest to look at what triggers you and dissect those things apart to heal them.
